Diagnostic Manual in Sexology
The idea of developing a Diagnostic Manual containing the Coded Classification of all alterations, disorders, diseases that occur during exercise of the practice of clinical sexology was born in 1985, each coded nosological entity would be described with the objective of unifying criteria semiologicos (symptoms, signs and syndromes) element for the planning of clinical research which could be replicated in any part of the world and its results would be applied in the clinical field.
The Diagnostic Manual in Sexology was planned as a means by which a communication objective, fluid and coherent, understandable for all at the global level.
The project was moving forward, appearing at conferences, meetings and symposia, growing up to get to where we are now, picking up all the recommendations that have been made by incorporating new professionals that have helped to refine the now official document of the FLASSES, the WAMS and the AISM, adopted and supported by various national and international organizations.
